Jon Kuhl, professor of electrical engineering and researcher at the UI Public Policy Center and the Iowa Institute for Biomedical Imaging, has been appointed interim associate dean for academic programs in the College of Engineering, effective January 1, 2017.
Anton Kruger, professor of electrical and computer engineering and faculty research engineer at IIHR--Hydroscience & Engineering, has received the 2016 UI President and Provost Award for Teaching Excellence in recognition of his years of outstanding teaching.
Student developers, designers, and data enthusiasts will be attending the Midwest Big Data Hackathon October 8-9 at the University of Iowa. The two-day event will bring together members of the data community to develop creative ideas for big data applications. Participants will collaborate on exciting big data projects.
